Storyteller
Stories are how we make sense of the world. Whether that be a storybook, a song, or a movie, the guiding principal remains the same: communicate and idea or feeling that engages an audience. This ideal is what drives me to make things, because an idea can change the world.
I began creating when I was 15 and I taught myself (with the help of YouTube) how to produce music on my rinky dink laptop. I loved it, but with time, I decided I wanted to learn how to play an instrument so I could make music more efficiently. I didn't have anyone to teach me how to play anything, so I taught myself the piano through memorization. Over time, I learned the guitar and ukelele and realized that I wanted to keep learning and branch out into other mediums. And so began my journey into film.

I first started editing in Windows Movie Maker editing videos of nerdy video games and anime that I liked, but I eventually got into original video production once I went to James Madison University and got a gimbal for my phone. I studied abroad in France and made an original song and music video to accompany it, and since then, I've been hooked. During my time at their School of Media Arts and Design and working as Sports Media Manager for the Track & Field team, I've learned so much about visual storytelling. I graduated in summer of 2019 and I currently work full time at Ventana Prodcutions in DC while also running my independent DJ company and freelance video editing on the side. I know this is just the beginning and I look forward to see what the future holds.
